On one side of the dial there is a section marked with the moon, and on the other side a section marked with the sun. The user sets the appropriate values on the movable ring to read the letter assigned to the year, and then checks the day of the week for the selected month and day.
First, on the moon side, we set the appropriate year and age markings to read the dominical letter.
Next, we move to the sun side and set the abbreviation of the selected month under the read letter.
On the dial with the days of the month, we check which letter of the day of the week falls on the selected date.
Example: to check the day of the week for 2 March 2019, you need to set the year letter, then set MAR under the correct letter. The reading shows S, which means Saturday.
In a leap year, two letters may appear in the slot. The first applies to dates up to 1 March of the given year, and the second to dates after 1 March.
Markings on the calendar - months and days of the week in Spanish
The calendar is based on the names of months and days of the week in Spanish.
Ene - enero - January
Feb - febrero - February
Mar - marzo - March
Abr - abril - April
May - mayo - May
Jun - junio - June
Jul - julio - July
Ago - agosto - August
Sep - septiembre - September
Oct - octubre - October
Nov - noviembre - November
Dic - diciembre - December
L - lunes - Monday
M - martes - Tuesday
X - miércoles - Wednesday
J - jueves - Thursday
V - viernes - Friday
S - sábado - Saturday
D - domingo - Sunday
Centuria means century, and Letra Dominical means Sunday letter.
Uses - an elegant desk gadget, gift and decoration
Perpetual calendar on a wooden base works as a prestigious gift, study decoration, collectible product and an interesting educational gadget.
