Galileo Thermometer 28 cm

Galileo Thermometer 28 cm
Liquid thermometer created according to the idea of Galileo Galilei, called Galileo (1564-1642). While researching temperature measurement, Galileo discovered a fascinating method. A solid body immersed in a liquid tends to sink as temperature rises, and begins to float upward as temperature falls. The temperature can be read from a tag attached to the glass bulb. Making this instrument requires great precision; each glass bulb is calibrated to within 2 degrees C, which corresponds to a weight difference of only 6/100 gram. Temperature range 18 - 26 degrees. Scale every 2 degrees. Height 28 cm.
