Galileo Thermometer 18 cm

Galileo Thermometer 18 cm
Liquid thermometer designed according to the idea of Galileo Galilei, known as Galileo (1564-1642). While researching temperature measurement, Galileo discovered a fascinating method. A solid body immersed in a liquid tends to sink when temperature rises; when temperature drops, it begins to float upward. The temperature can be read from a tag attached to the glass bulb. Making this instrument requires great precision: each glass bulb is calibrated with an accuracy of 2 degrees C, which corresponds to a weight difference of only 6/100 gram. Temperature range 18 - 24 degrees. Scale every 2 degrees. Height 18 cm.
